Berlin/Bonn/Memmelsdorf. Der Bund Heimat und Umwelt (BHU) hatte gemeinsam mit dem Deutschen Hotel- und Gaststättenverband (DEHOGA Bundesverband) den Bundeswettbewerb „Historische Wirtshäuser in Deutschland“ ausgerufen.

Aus unserer Kooperation wurden drei Private Brauereigasthöfe dieser Auszeichnung für würdig empfunden!
 
Wir gratulieren den drei Privaten Brauereigasthöfen recht herzlich zu dieser Auszeichnung und freuen uns, solch tatkräftige Bierbrauerkollegen in unserer Kooperation zu haben, die sich ihrer historischen Verantwortung zu stellen wissen.

führen monatlich einen qualifizierten Biertest durch, an dem auch nichtbayerische Biere teilnehmen. Von einem bestimmten Biertyp wird dann jeweils ein 1., 2. und 3. Platz vergeben. In der Kategorie "Alt" beim diesem Test gewann unsere Mitgliedsbrauerei Uerige. Herzlichen Glückwunsch nach Düsseldorf.

WHAT IS A
PRIVATER BRAUGASTHOF?
 
Our members have three things in common. They are all small to medium size family concerns. They all run their own brewery, and, closely connected to this, the Braugasthof, or brewery inn.
 
Our association exists to revive and preserve this historical unity of brewer and innkeeper.
  
All the inns on this web-site form an integral part of the village, town or landscape in which they are situated. Some are relatively simple, others more sophisticated. A glance through these pages will give you an idea of the variety we represent - a truly refreshing alternative to the increasing uniformity and standardisation of our time.
   
Friendly service and good country cooking, with particular emphasis on regional specialities, are common to all the inns in this guide, however different these may be in other ways. Whether you order an elaborate meal or a simple snack you can be sure of one thing - our watchword is quality.

What is true of the food is no less true of the beer. Variety and quality are again of the essence. The extensive range of our beer specialities makes possible the right choise of beer for every occasion. As for quality, where else could one expect to be served one’s beer fresher and in better condition than in the brewer’s own inn?
 
Each "Braugasthof" is under the direct personal supervision of the brewery owners. This is your guarantee that your stay will be made as pleasant as possible. A satisfied guest is our best ambassador.
  
Nobody is perfect although we do our best to be. All suggestions for improvements, or indeed criticisms, will be dealt with promptly and sympathetically by the owners themselves.   
 
Our aim of offering the guest something different, something special led to the founding of this association, whose symbol you can see on the cover of the brochure.
