EATING AND DRINKING ...

World Heritage Site Bamberg and ist beer are intrinsically tied. Enjoy one of our smooth beers in the nice tavern rooms (65, 70, 80, 100 seats). When the weather is fine the awesome beergarden is open (500 seats, of these are 150 rain sheltered) with chestnut trees and a full view to the Altenburg-castle. We also advise our typically kitchen and the Franconian gastronomic specialities. A good and proper snack is always a good choice, but legendary is the "Blaue Gelbwurst" (a pickled pork and veal sausage), or salads, gibs and seasonal meals, many frying roasts or a crispy "Schäuferla" – you´ll find all that on the menu.

Old-established, Familiar and Traditionally Franconian
Brewery Greifenklau, founded 1719, and named by the capitular of the cathedral von Greifenklau. Since the year 1914 the brewery is the family property. Today, the fourth generation is brewing the well known beers: Lager, Zwickel, Wheat Beer and Bock!

We are flexible: if the weather is good we will retain a seat the beergarden with a nice view – if not there is enough place in one of the dining areas inside, of course service included.
