The early gothic church building (1275) has been founded by Duke Ludwig the strict.

Valuable Gothic wall frescos. Cloister stock to 1542 as of 1542 Bavarian Hofmark in the possession of the prince of Neuburg at the river Danube.

Six changes of ownership till 1838. Purchase of the remains and the cloister by master brewer Prössl in 1838. Since that time the former dominican monastery is owned by the Prössl Family, now in the 4th and the 5th generation.
