With our total of 13 different beers with different flavors, we have already won several awards. With our unique beers we even managed to win over 60 European Beer Star Awards and DLG awards. Among other things, we were awarded the “Prize of the Best” and the Federal Honorary Award for Beer.
Our brewery has existed since 1894 and we have always relied on regional raw materials. Our hops come from neighboring Hallertau, while the malt is delivered directly from Sulzbach-Rosenberg. We brew in a historic copper brewhouse with direct combustion and let the beer ferment openly in the vaulted cellar - just like in grandfather's time. For us, honest craftsmanship counts.
Since 1894, we – the Sperber family – have been committed to the craft of brewing and maintain our traditional art of brewing with directly fired copper kettles. In the middle of the historic old town of Sulzbach-Rosenberg, we are the fifth generation of the family to brew our beer according to the specifications of the Bavarian Purity Law from 1516. Our passion for the art of brewing remains unchanged and we strive every day to offer our customers a unique taste experience. which have received multiple international awards.
