The church and the brewery hotel still belong together in Ummendorf and together, they form the center of the village. Whether in the winter, cuddled next to the fireplace, or in the summer sitting outside and enjoying the sun in our beer garden, freshness and deliciousness are paramount to our success! This is true for our home-brewed beers, as well as everything that comes out of our brewery kitchen.
Besides tasty dishes and drinks, our guests may also stay overnight in one of our rooms and try our delicious spirits straight out of our very own distillery. Above all, we’ll endeavor to make every guest feel welcome and at home with us!

Under the Sign of the Lion
We’ve been hosting and accommodating guests ever since Josef Angele founded the brewery in 1870 with the heraldic animal of the Angele family, the lion with the double tail, as our seal. Fresh beer from our brewery and aromatic distillates from our distillery are just as important to us as the savory meals out of our brewery kitchen. We would be delighted if you came and enjoyed a few hours at our inn, our beer garden, our brewery, or by taking one of our expert led brewery tours!
