The Beer Culture Hotel Schwanen with its restaurant and brewery is located in a quiet corner of Ehingen, a Swabian city with great beer culture city amidst Baroque splendor. Its architecture, beer and its one-of-a-kind “beer crate rooms” give it a special and unique flair. It only makes sense that their motto is, ‘Here you sleep in beer.’ The surrounding area is definitely worth a visit, as well. Bikers and hikers love exploring the nearby biosphere reserve ‘The Swabian Alps’ and also visiting the magnificent fortresses, monasteries and museums in the area.

The hotel brewery Schwanen with its own distillery has been around since 1697 and is the crown jewel of beer culture city of Ehingen. The brewery has 19 home-brewed beers, many additional craft beers, and also home-distilled beer schnapps and beer liqueur, as well. Our modern Swabian cuisine and seasonal dishes are served with beer highlights and can offer something suited for everyone’s tastes. One event you can’t miss is our brewing seminar, in which you brew your own beer under the guidance of our highly qualified master brewer, Michael Miller!

The special architecture of the Best Western BierKulturHotel Schwanen combines the historic elements of the brewery with modern architecture.
All 50 rooms and suites of this house, filled with warmth and pleasant moments of surprise, are equipped with adjustable air conditioning, LCD TV, Sky free to Guest, free Wi-Fi and coffee and tea making facilities. Built in 2011, the hotel also includes three flexible seminar rooms.
In 23 beer case rooms you will live in a stunningly refined furniture sculpture of bed, wardrobe and sofa, which is reminiscent of the wooden beer boxes of the past with the antique wood paneling.

Learn more about the culture of brewing beer, get hands-on experience with master brewer and beer sommelier Michael Miller and get to know all stages of beer production. Reserve your BrauSeminar including a delicious 5-course beer menu from “Schwanenwirt’s kitchen”.

Our beer concept consists of the classics of the German art of brewing and also includes, rare, hard-to-get monthly beer style highlights. These can include our steam beer, a caramel wheat or our Kupferdächle (copper roof) beer. Take a look at our beer menu, which boasts over 30 beers, the selections are yours to enjoy!
