Graminger Weissbräu

Graminger Weissbräu is a small private brewery with lots of tradition. It was in 1900 exactly that the resident blacksmith came up with the idea of setting up tables and serving beer and light meals to the farmers as they waited. His little business grew so fast that soon enough he found himself no longer able to meet the demand. It was at this time, in 1920, that Josef Krähschütz acquired the estate. His grandson, Karlmann Detter, and his family still operate this traditional brewery and hotel today.

Our Beers Today

We use our considerable experience, love for the product, and the traditional methods of generations past to brew our beers in accordance with the purity law of 1516. It is not filtered, nor stabilized (preserved), providing a beautiful (and healthy) cloudy appearance!

We brew seven types of beer:

• Graminger wheat beer
• Dark Kirtaweissbier
• Leichtere Graminger Weisse (an alcohol- reduced delight)
• Schwarzfahrer (a dark, alcohol-free wheat beer)
• Berggeist (a vigorous wheat bock)
• Pils
• Deife (unfiltered Märzen)
