Our hotel and brewery inn in Memmelsdorf has been repeatedly rebuilt, modernized and brought up to date with the latest technology over the last few decades. The last renovation and renovation work on our property was completed in 2022. All of our rooms are classified 3 stars superior and are equipped, among other things, with tablets in all rooms.
Our warmth, the home-brewed beers, the diverse Franconian cuisine, the proximity to the world cultural heritage site of Bamberg – all of this makes a stay at Drei Kronen something special. We invite you: Spend enjoyable hours in our cozy dining rooms and relaxing days in one of our 36 rooms, all furnished with a lot of love. In our kitchen we use local products and cook without additives and flavor enhancers, but sometimes refined with Drei Kronen beer.
In the fourth generation of the family, we brew first-class Franconian beers in Memmelsdorf, just outside Bamberg in Upper Franconia. We are one of the smaller breweries in the region with the highest brewery density; However, with a brewing tradition going back almost 570 years, it is one of the most experienced. The first documented mention of the Drei Kronen brewery dates back to 1457.
We, the Hollmann, Straub & Merei families, are running the business in the fourth generation. In 2016, the younger generation took over the reins. Today Isabella brews our Drei Kronen beer with her husband Markus and Lisanna runs the Swen-Christian Hotel & Gasthof with her husband. Together with the senior bosses Lieselotte and Halu, we are proud to run a real family business in Memmelsdorf near Bamberg. And the next generation is already in the starting blocks with Magdalena and Anton.
