The Uerige Brewhaus has been brewing excellent top-fermented beers in the heart of Düsseldorf’s old town since 1862. The Uerige Alt is more abundant in bittering compounds than any other beer in Germany. Despite this, or precisely for this reason, this legendary Altbier from Düsseldorf, brewed with barley malt, caramel malt, roasted malt, hops, water, and our secret Uerige yeast is remarkably full-bodied, aromatic, and bright. In fact, it is so exceptional that it is regularly chosen as one of Germany’s ten best beers!

Legendary and fresh
In addition to our standard menu, we offer daily warm seasonal specials such as kale with Mettwurst sausage during the winter months. Every Saturday locals also flock to our beer hall for on our famous pea soup. House specialties are prepared fresh every day by our team in our ultra-modern kitchen. Our legendary Frikadellen (meatballs), for example, are always served warm and our Mett (ground pork) rolls are only spread minutes before being served. You will undoubtedly savour every bite!
Our menu features all the staples of any proper brew house: traditional beer and dishes that have been perfected over decades. In addition to our daily specials and our crispy pork knuckle, there is a small summer menu full of fun surprises like the UERIGE-Currywurst. Definitely worth a try!
